   The Most Excellent Way
"The Most Excellent Way" is the Christian solution to chemical dependency and life-controlling problems.

"The Most Excellent Way" is LOVE according to the Bible: 1 Corinthians 12:31 and 13:3-8 tell us that God Himself demonstrated His love for us by freely giving us the gift of Life, abundant Life, His Son; and we love because He first loved us!

"At one time we, too, were foolish, disobedient, deceived
and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures.
We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,
so that, having been justified by His grace,
we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life."
Titus 3:3-7 NIV

"The Most Excellent Way" is a loving group of men and women affected directly or indirectly by drugs, alcohol, or other life-controlling problems.  In the Support Meetings, we grow in our faith in Christ with the encouragement of God's Word and prayers of those who understand what we have been through. Thousands worldwide have been set free through these weekly meetings.

We believe a person can be totally free from addiction and compulsive behavior only by the power of the indwelling Spirit of Christ Jesus. God loves you! Your Creator knows everything about you (everything!), and He still loves you. He has good purposes and forever plans for your life.

You are welcome to join us as we encourage others to experience victorious living.  Being clean and sober is just the beginning!

The Most Excellent Way meets at Victory Christian Church every Tuesday night at
7:00 PM!

The group is led by the father-son ministry team of Bob and Ryan Fricke.

Ten Attitudes of Victorious Living

When we finally get clean and sober, we must learn to live a new life with a new character.  When we become new creations in Christ, we must put on His spiritual life and put off the old, worldly, prideful, selfish, lustful nature.  In His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5, 6 and 7), Jesus describes the attitudes of His followers.

"The Most Excellent Way" ministry is centered on God's Word, and Christ's Beatitudes are our foundation for change.

"Let this mind be in you which
was also in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 2:5 NKJV

1 . . . Humility
I admit I am powerless over the affects of drugs and alcohol, and self-centered behavior - my life is unmanageable.
Jesus said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."  Matthew 5:3 NKJV

2 . . . Repentance
I believe Jesus Christ can and will create in me a new way of life.
Jesus said: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."  Matthew 5:4 NKJV

3 . . . Submissiveness
I give my will and my life to Jesus Christ.
Jesus said: "Blessed are the meek, for they
shall inherit the earth."  Matthew 5:5 NKJV

4 . . . Honesty
I honestly examine myself in the light of God's Word.
Jesus said: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."  Matthew 5:6 NKJV

5 . . . Mercy
I humbly ask God's forgiveness for my sinful past.  I am able to forgive those who have hurt me.
Jesus said: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."  Matthew 5:7 NKJV

6 . . . Obedience
I desire to live under the guidance of God's Holy Spirit - day by day.
Jesus said: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."  Matthew 5:8 NKJV

7 . . . Reconciliation
I ask forgiveness from God and those I have hurt or dealt with unfairly.
Jesus said: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Matthew 5:9 NKJV

8 . . . Faith
I trust in the power of Jesus Christ when I face hardship and trials.
Jesus said: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10 NKJV

9 . . . Perseverance
I stand firm in my faith that Jesus is in control of all things.
Jesus said: "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute  you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward  in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."  Matthew 5:11-12 NKJV

10 . . . Loving Servant
As a new creation in Christ, I share with others the Good News of a risen Savior who makes His people whole.
Jesus said: "You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world...Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."  Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV

Jesus said: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."  Matthew 6:33 NKJV
